Taxonomic Notes:
Proposed as a subspecies of Isognathus mossi.
There is a specimen in NHMUK from El Carmen, Amazonas, Venezuela, that matches perfectly specimens of Isognathus mossi mossi from Taruma, Manaos and Pará in Brazil. This locality is very close to the type locality of Isognathus mossi fabianae and suggests that perhaps this latter taxon might be a distinct species. However, further study is necessary to determine whether or not this sttaus is valid.
