Eumorpha labruscae
Immediately recognizable by the blue antemedial and medial bands running from Rs to CuA2 on the hindwing upperside. Head and prothorax somewhat longer than most other Eumorpha (except Eumorpha anchemolus). Upperside of thorax, abdomen and forewings largely green (often turning brown on exposure to high humidity), similar to Eumorpha phorbas but without the dorsal stripe on the abdomen. Labial palp segment 1 slightly longer than segment 2. Hindtarsus very long, hindbasitarsus longer than tibia. Patch of modified scales near base of cubital vein more distinct than in other species of Eumorpha.
Male genitalia: Uncus very short, pointed. Valve somewhat tapering, apex more convex dorsally than ventrally. Harpe similar to Eumorpha satellitia but shorter, the vertical part of the hook sometimes nearly as long as its horizontal part. Phallus slender, apical process very short and obtuse.
