The new species is related to &lt;em&gt;Gnathothlibus erotus&lt;/em&gt; (Cramer, 1777) but is easily separated from that species by several habitus characters as well as features of the male genitalia. Genetic analysis of the DNA barcode&amp;nbsp; region of the mitochondrial gene, cytochrome oxidase I confirmed the distinctness of the two species. The habitus of both sexes, together with the male genitalia, are illustrated.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;
