The number of species of Sphingidae (Lepidoptera: Bombycoidea) from Tumbes Region (Peru) is updated, which is made up of 26 species belonging to 16 genera, 4 tribes and 3 subfamilies. The subfamily Macroglossinae and the genera &lt;em&gt;Erinnyis &lt;/em&gt;H&amp;uuml;bner, 1819 and &lt;em&gt;Xylophanes &lt;/em&gt;H&amp;uuml;bner, 1819 obtained the largest number of species. &lt;em&gt;Adhemarius daphne daphne&lt;/em&gt; (Boisduval, 1875) is recorded for the first time to Peru.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;
