FELDER, 1861 (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae) from Marinduque, Philippines was already described by U. &amp;amp; L. H. Paukstadt (2017). In autumn 2020 &lt;em&gt;A. lorquinii &lt;/em&gt;was reared successfully by the authors and further observations on the defensive glands of the larvae were recorded and some pictures were taken. These additional observations and illustrations are intended to supplement our previous contribution on the defensive glands of the larvae of this giant silkmoth. Because of the special morphology of the defensive glands in comparison with those of other species in this genus, we assume that &lt;em&gt;A. lorquinii&lt;/em&gt; represents the most plesiomorphic species within the genus &lt;em&gt;Attacus &lt;/em&gt;LINNAEUS, 1767. &lt;em&gt;A. lorquinii&lt;/em&gt; and &lt;em&gt;A. suparmani &lt;/em&gt;PAUKSTADT &amp;amp; PAUKSTADT, 2002 (Alor I., Indonesia) could have had the same ancestor.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;
