(&lt;em&gt;Brahmophthalma&lt;/em&gt;) &lt;em&gt;loeffleri &lt;/em&gt;NAUMANN &amp;amp; BROSCH, 2005 from northern Sumatra, Indonesia. &lt;em&gt;B&lt;/em&gt;. (&lt;em&gt;Brahmophthalma&lt;/em&gt;) &lt;em&gt;hearseyi &lt;/em&gt;was observed on the wings mainly from March till June (exceptionally September) which might indicates at least a bivoltine lifecycle. The altitudinal distribution was observed between 965 and 1,460 (and 104) m in northern Vietnam. &lt;em&gt;B&lt;/em&gt;. (&lt;em&gt;Brahmophthalma&lt;/em&gt;) &lt;em&gt;hearseyi &lt;/em&gt;came to light usually between 19:08 and 20:26 hours local time, latecomers until the early morning. The closely related &lt;em&gt;B&lt;/em&gt;. (&lt;em&gt;Brahmophthalma&lt;/em&gt;) &lt;em&gt;loeffleri &lt;/em&gt;from the Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province, northern Sumatra, Indonesia was observed on the wings from mid January till mid June with a clear peak in April. Scattered records from the remaining provinces of the island of Sumatra were from August, September and October from which one could conclude an at least bivoltine lifecycle, too. The altitudinal distribution was observed between 966 and 1,800 (and 116) m with a clear peak at 1,800 m. &lt;em&gt;B&lt;/em&gt;. (&lt;em&gt;Brahmophthalma&lt;/em&gt;) &lt;em&gt;loeffleri &lt;/em&gt;came to light usually between 19:15 and 20:30 hours local time. The approaching times given here refer to the local time; the Time Zone is the same in Vietnam and in western Indonesia (WIB) with UTC +7 hours. Depending on the latitudes, longitudes and seasons of the observation areas, the times of sunset are different at the collecting sites. In order to be able to compare these approaching times directly, they should be related to the sunset time. If taken this into account, the circadian flight times for Vietnam are about 19-29 minutes later after sunset than those of Aceh due to an earlier sunset in northern Vietnam (approx. 29 minutes in September and 19 minutes in April). However, the circadian flight times of &lt;em&gt;B&lt;/em&gt;. (&lt;em&gt;Brahmophthalma&lt;/em&gt;) &lt;em&gt;hearseyi &lt;/em&gt;from northern Vietnam were observed to be almost the same as in the closely related &lt;em&gt;B&lt;/em&gt;. (&lt;em&gt;Brahmophthalma&lt;/em&gt;) &lt;em&gt;loeffleri &lt;/em&gt;in northern Sumatra. The observations confirm that there are no obvious ecological differences between the Vietnamese and Sumatran populations of the &lt;em&gt;hearseyi&lt;/em&gt;-group, as clearly identified, for example, in the circadian flight times of &lt;em&gt;Lemaireia chrysopeplus&lt;/em&gt; (TOXOPEUS, 1940) (Java) (02:00 hrs. local time) and the closely related &lt;em&gt;L. jaegeri &lt;/em&gt;PAUKSTADT &amp;amp; PAUKSTADT, 2010 (Sumatra) (19:00 hrs. local time) (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae). A generic revision could reveal that all taxa of the &lt;em&gt;hearseyi&lt;/em&gt;-group should belong to only one species, since there are also no unambiguous genetic differences (at BOLD), though populations are grouping weakly geographically. No taxonomic changes are proposed.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;
