In recent years，it was found attacking &lt;em&gt;Eucalyptus &lt;/em&gt;spp. in Guangxi，China，and tended to gradually spread and outbreak. The morphological characters and developmental duration of &lt;em&gt;C. panopus&lt;/em&gt; were described. It has 3 or 4 generations a year and overwinters as pupa under ground. The generations in the north of Guangxi is less than those in the south of Guangxi. Adults have strong phototaxis，and males emerge earlier than females． Eggs are sparsely laid on leaf back． Larvae have 5 instars，and appetite starts to increase in the fourth instar.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;
