N&auml;ssig, Lampe &amp; Kager listed 25 taxa of Saturniidae for the island of Sumatra and the adjacent islands. In the meantime some new descriptions of Saturniidae from the provinces of Sumatra were published and nomenclatural acts proposed. New taxa and nomenclatural acts within the family Saturniidae from Sumatra and the adjacent islands were mainly confirmed by DNA barcoding (of BOLD). At the time being 36 taxa of Saturniidae are recognized for the provinces of Sumatra that means for the main island and the adjacent smaller islands. It is amazing that of the 36 Saturniidae taxa identified so far, at least 23 taxa are endemic to Sumatra and the adjacent islands. 5 taxa are member of the tribus Attacini and 31 taxa are member of the Saturniini. We herewith provide with an updated checklist of the Saturniidae of Sumatra.&quot;</p>
