Laothoe amurensis
Diagnostic description:
Ground colour as variable (buff through pink to various shades of grey) as Laothoe populi populi, to which it is similar. Hindwing upperside without the rust-red basal patch present in Laothoe populi populi and Laothoe habeli.
Male genitalia: differ from those of Laothoe populi populi as follows: Uncus shorter. Gnathos more evenly convex below, sides straighter and apex more obtuse. Valva: harpe much broader than in Laothoe populi populi, the two lobes being very broad. Phallus spinose around almost all the edge, with the spines small on one side.
Female genitalia: as in Laothoe populi populi.
Distribution:
