LECTOTYPE ♀ [India:] "coast of Coromandel" [Tamil Nadu/Andhra Pradesh] (ex coll. Stoll/van Lennep; ex coll. Felder) [NHMUK]; implicitly designated by Rothschild, 1919, Novit. zool. 26: 222. Cramer stated that the specimens figured at A, B, E and F on plate 148 were in the collection of C. Stoll, while C and D were in the van Lennep collection. However, Rothschild believed that many of Stoll's and other collectors' specimens mentioned by Cramer subsequently passed into the possession of van Lennep.
