General description:
Transferred to Hemeroplanes by H├╝bner, [1819], Verz. bekannter Schmett.: 133; then to Leucorhampha by Rothschild & Jordan, 1903, Novit. zool.9 (suppl.): 380 (key), 381. Returned to Hemeroplanes by Hodges, 1971, in Dominick et al.Moths Amer. N of Mexico21: 108.
Morphology:
Yellow bands of abdomen upperside extending across entire width of the segments. Forewing upperside with little or no greenish-yellow scaling; silver mark 4-5 mm long. Harpe with a comparatively slender, obtuse, curved process.
