Abstract:

"A new species in the genus Rhodoprasina Rothschild & Jordan, 1903 (Lepidoptera: Sphingidae) from N Vietnam is described and figured: Rhodoprasina myhanhae n. sp. The holotype ♂ is deposited in coll. Ronald Brechlin, Pasewalk, Germany [CRBP], in coll. Museum Witt, Munich (Germany), which later,  together with this collection, will be included in Zoologische Staatssammlung München, Munich, Germany. Within the genus, R. myhanhae n. sp. most closely resembles R. chrisbrechlinae Brechlin, 2016, R. viksinjaevi Brechlin, 2004, R. corrigenda Kitching & Cadiou, 1996 (in Kitching & Brechlin 1996) and R. koerferi Brechlin, 2010, but can be distinguished by several external characters as well as the male genitalia morphology. The female and preimaginal instars of the new species are unknown.
