The publication date stated on the cover on volume 9, issue 3 of The European Entomologist is December 18, 2017, which was confirmed as the date of printing, as opposed to 16th December 2017, the date on which it was posted on the SMCR website (T. Melichar, pers. comm. to I.J. Kitching, 6.iv.2020). However, print copies for sale or exchange, as required under the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, were apparently not available until early 2018. Consequently, the publication date is interpreted here as [2018].
