Abstract:

"it is confirmed that the Pine Hawk moth, Sphinx pinastri (Linnaeus, 1758) is present in Corsica, in contradiction to the general consensus, although little published, that there the species is replaced by its twin, S. maurorum (Jordan, 1931). However, illustrated here is the first clearly identified specimen and its associated genital preparation."
