The publication date stated on the cover on volume 11, issue 1 of The European Entomologist is April 30, 2019, which was confirmed as the date of printing, as opposed to 26th April 2019, the date on which it was posted on the SMCR website (T. Melichar, pers. comm. to I.J. Kitching, 6.iv.2020). However, it remains to be confirmed whether 30.iv.2019 was the date of publication of a print copy that was available for sale or exchange, as required under the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature. Consequently, the publication date is provisionally interpreted here as [2020] until evidence to the contrary is forthcoming.
