| Abstract: | "A new variant phenotype of Protambulyx eurycles (Herrich-Schäffer, 1854) from Paraguay is briefly described and illustrated. This phenotype is as divergent from typical P. eurycles as that species is from other members of the genus, however, the genitalia are identical. Chronologically this specimen is also the first of the species collected in Paraguay." |

The publication date stated on the cover on volume 12, issue 3 of The European Entomologist is November 30, 2020. However, it is unclear whether this is the date on which the PDF was posted on the SMCR website for download or the date on which print copies for sale or exchange were available, as required under the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature. However, as the only included Sphingidae name is an unavailable infrasubspecific variety, the question is moot for the purposes of sphingid taxonomy and nomenclature, and the stated publication date is accepted.
