| Abstract: | "Two new species of Polyptychus, Polyptychus smithi sp. nov. and Polyptychus lucindae sp. nov., are described from West Africa. A comparison is made with their closest congeners, Polyptychus coryndoni Rothschild & Jordan, 1903 and Polyptychus lagnelae Pierre, 2014 respectively from which they differ in features of the wing pattern, genitalia and the COI-5P region of the mitochondrial DNA. Diagnoses are provided together with illustrations of the habitus and male genital morphology." |
