Abstract:

"In this study, we describe Laothoe amurensis zolotuhini Spitsyn, Bolotov & Spitsyna ssp. nov. from Kunashir Island. The range of this subspecies expands through South Kuriles and Japan. The new subspecies differs from the nominate one by having a strongly toothed outer margin of the wings. The uncorrected COI p-distance between L. amurensis zolotuhini ssp. nov. and the nominate subspecies is 2.12-2.45%."
