| Abstract: | "Rhagastis ROTHSCHILD & JORDAN, 1903, which inhabits the southern and eastern parts of the Oriental Region with 15 known species, is also represented with one species on Madagascar. Although the caterpillar of this non-Asian endemic has reportedly been bred, it has not yet been described. However, physiognomic features of a very distinctive caterpillar occasionally found on the island reveal the representative of the genus and confirm an older suspicion; they are presented with a sketch." |
