| Abstract: | "A Siem Reap hotel team's advertising photograph taken in the forest near the Cambodian city of Kabai Spean shows a grown-up caterpillar obviously belonging to Meganoton. A few details in the coloration, pattern and physiognomy differing from those in M. nyctiphanes (WALKER, 1856), which will be discussed by a sketch, seem to indicate a further representative of this oriental hawk-moth genus." |
Taxonomic name:
STI taxonomic comments:
The larva in question is a mature Meganoton nyctiphanes in pre-pupal coloration, hence the slight differences, particularly the strong bluish tone.
