Abstract:

"The wimble trees, Castanopsis chinensis, were attacked by Ampelophaga rubigi Bremer in Guangdong province. All leaves were eaten up when trees were seriously damaged just like fired Observation of its life history showed that it had one geneartion a year, with pupae overwintering in soil for 9 months. The results showed that dichlorbenzuron III (16% active elements, synergism-type powder) was  effectively controlled the pest with 95% of the young larvae killed in 24h."

The moth is not Ampelophaga rubigi[nosa] but Rhodambulyx davidi.
