Abstract:

"A new species of the hawkmoth genus Macroglossum Scopoli, Macroglossum chui Pan & Han sp. nov., is described from Hainan and Guangxi, with the species Macroglossum clemensi Cadiou, 1998 is firstly recorded in China. Diagnoses for the species are provided and illustrations of external features and genitalia are presented."

STI taxonomic comments: 
Macroglossum chui is here considered to be a junior synonym of Macroglossum sitiene. The specimen recorded as Macroglossum clemensi is a misidentified Macroglossum hemichroma, but nevertheless a new country record for that species.
