General description:
Synonymized with the nominotypical subspecies by Carcasson & Heppner, 1996, Atlas Neotrop. Lepid.4B: 57. Reinstated as a subspecies by Kitching & Cadiou, 2000, Hawkmoths of the world: 45.
Morphology:
Similar to Eumorpha vitis vitis but upperside ground colour darker and more uniformly olive green, the markings less prominent. Forewing upperside marginal band broader than Eumorpha vitis vitis, inner edge not highlighted with white; white highlighting of M3 vestigial or absent.
