Eumorpha vitis hesperidum (Taxonomy)
General description:
Synonymized with Pholus vitis as a subspecies by Rothschild & Jordan, 1903, Novit. zool.9 (suppl.): 494.
Morphology:
Similar to Eumorpha vitis vitis but pale markings of upperside of body and wings whiter. Undersides of body and wings almost entirely red. Forewing upperside with white highlighting of M3 vestigial or absent.
