Diagnostic description:
Male: Most similar to Eurypteryx shelfordi but smaller. Abdominal anal tuft black. Forewing upperside without a discal spot. Forewing underside without a white preapical costal patch; discal spot yellowish, larger than in Eurypteryx shelfordi. Hindwing underside brown with a small yellowish discal spot; marginal area paler between apex and M2, bounded by an indistinct submarginal line. Forewing length: 31 mm.
Female: Differs from the male in the presence on the forewing upperside of a conspicuous discal spot formed from two partially fused white patches. Forewing length: 38 mm.
