Eurypteryx shelfordi
Diagnostic description:
Abdominal anal tuft dark brown, like the rest of the body. Antennae cream dorsally, brown towards base. Upperside of thorax and abdomen russet-brown. Underside of thorax and abdomen dark brown with a grey flush. Tibiae orangish. Forewing length: 42-46 mm. Forewing almost uniformly brown, with middle area and distal margin area deeper brown; a round white stigma with a white dot in front. Forewing underside with white discal spot; a small white preapical costal patch. Hindwing upperside dull brown, distally orangish near tornus. Hindwing underside with marginal area markedly darker than the postmedial area, which is shaded with a bluish tinge and traversed by two dark lines.
