Griseosphinx marchandi
Diagnostic description:
Similar to Griseosphinx preechari but larger, and immediately distinguishable by the continuous narrow white marginal line along the outer margin of the forewing upperside and the absence of black and white chequered fringes on both wings.
Forewing length: male: 36 mm. Labial palps similar to Griseosphinx preechari but segment 1 shorter and apical cavity larger. Forewing upperside similar to Griseosphinx preechari but with a narrow white marginal line running along the outer margin, and a short whitish line running inward from the apex to M1 and extended basally a short way along Rs4 and M1.
