Hippotion psammochroma
Male: Similar to Hippotion rebeli but forewings and hindwings more slender and apically pointed, lacking almost all pattern elements. Upperside of body uniform pale beige. Forewing upperside uniform pale beige with a pinkish tint; pattern of transverse bands and lines almost entirely lacking except for a series of vein dots marking the fifth postmedial line in most specimens. Hindwing upperside uniform beige. Wingspan: 54 mm.
Female: Similar to the male but slightly squatter, forewing outer margin slightly more convex. Forewing upperside uniform pale beige. Hindwing upperside uniform pale beige. Wingspan: 55 mm.
Male genitalia: Valves long, with three stridulatory scales. Harpe short, bifid, slightly incurved. Phallus straight, cylindrical, apical process toothed and notched.
