Hippotion scrofa
Diagnostic description:
Similar to Hippotion brennus and Hippotion joiceyi but distinguishable from the former by the lack of paired subdorsal white spots on the abdomen and from the latter by the lack of a dorsal white median line on the thorax.
Male genitalia: similar to Hippotion eson but: uncus rounded apically, not sinuate; gnathos narrow, elongate triangular, obtuse apically; harpe somewhat stouter; phallus with a curved and oblique transverse row of teeth, ending in a dentate ridge on the right side.
Female genitalia: similar to Hippotion eson but ostium bursae opening more distally, with a slightly raised semi-circular edge.
