Hyles costata

Zolotuhin & Saldaitis (2011) reported a male and a female from "China sept[tentrionalis], Tsingtau, 1910" in MNHU. Given how far this locality is from the rest of the known distribution of Hyles costata, this record must be considered suspect at best. They also reported a male in EIHU from "China, Ko-syu-rei, 4.viii.1937"; this locality has yet to be traced.
