Langia
Diagnostic description:
A distinctive genus. In resting posture, the grey, brown and black forewing upperside markings render the insect camouflaged against tree bark. The forewing is narrow and the termen scalloped.
Male genitalia: Uncus bilobed. Gnathos with two widely separated pointed processes. Valve long, narrowing to apex. Harpe produced into a long process with irregular lobed apex. Phallus very stout, armed terminally with a long strong hook that curves ventrally.
Female genitalia: Sterigma with anterior part strongly sclerotised, raised in a transverse ridge in front of ostium; posterior part also projecting distad, rounded and more or less membranous except at edge.
