Leucostrophus alterhirundo
Diagnostic description:
Abdomen upperside with a pale belt on tergites 4 and 5, rather than 3 and 4 as in Leucostrophus commasiae; this belt is mesially excised anteriorly and posteriorly, not just anteriorly and is chalky white, without a bluish tint unless scales have rubbed off. Abdomen underside with the white colour gradually fading, so the posterior half is clayish rather than black as in Leucostrophus commasiae. Both wings paler slate colour than Leucostrophus commasiae.
Male genitalia: Similar to Leucostrophus commasiae, but: uncus with apex sinuate; harpe longer, more hook-shaped, with the edge densely dentate.
