Macroglossum soror
Similar to Macroglossum milvus and Macroglossum alluaudi with the following differences: Abdomen with 4 large, deep rust-coloured lateral patches (unlike Macroglossum alluaudi) that are not separated from one another, unlike in Macroglossum milvus. Underside darker than in Macroglossum alluaudi. Forewing upperside with discal spot rather large, more conspicuous than in Macroglossum alluaudi; 1st antemedial line straighter than in Macroglossum milvus, 2nd more distal, touching the discal spot; differentiated from Macroglossum alluaudi by the 1st discal line being almost obliterated, the 2nd curved. Hindwing upperside reddish orange, shaded with rust distally, without a yellow band, the base not darker than the middle of the wing, unlike in Macroglossum milvus; much darker than Macroglossum alluaudi; fringe pale brown.
