Antennae white dorsally, brown ventrally.Head, thorax and abdomen uppersides grey.Collar dark brown, with a border of yellow anteriorly, and tipped white posteriorly.Abdomen upperside with 2 dark median spots basally. Palpus white at base, with dark brown inner margin; dark brown speckled with white at tip.Legs brown, speckled with white, especially around joints.Abdomen underside white with 4 prominent median dark spots; dark brown lateral patches, bordered with white on every segment. Wings with fringes brown at veins, white between.Forewing upperside generally a mixture of white and brown, resulting in a grey appearance; 2 dark spots on costal margin 6 mm and 12 mm from base; a double dark brown antemedian line running irregularly from about 1/3rd the way along the costal margin to about 1/3rd the way along the hind margin, better marked costally; discal spot indistinct; 2 parallel brown postmedian lines run from about 1/2 way along the costal margin to about 2/3rd the way along the hind margin, the gap between them slightly darker than the ground colour; 2 dark streaks cross this band between veins M2 & M3 and M3 & CuA1; a further irregular dark band runs from the costal margin about 13 mm. from the apex to the hind margin close to the hind angle; a sinuous, well-marked apical line reaches this band between veins Rs4 and M1. Forewing underside with basal half dark brown, with lighter areas along the costal and hind margins; apical area Hindwing upperside with a dark basal spot, the basal 1/3rd dirty white bordered by a brown band; distal to this is grey, with a broad, irregular, brown submarginal band narrowing from the costal margin to the hind angle. Hindwing underside with basal area dirty white; antemedian band of similar colour to that of the upperside; submarginal band similar to upperside, but fainter. 56 mm.
