Manduca rustica harterti (Taxonomy)
General description:
Synonymized with Protoparce rustica as a subspecies by Rothschild & Jordan, 1903, Novit. zool.9 (suppl.): 85. Considered by Clark, 1928, Proc. New Engl. zool. Club10: 34, possibly to be only a dry season form of P. r. rustica.
Morphology:
Very similar to Manduca rustica rustica, but differs in that the dark, triangular discal area of the forewing upperside is consistently and obviously paler.
