Morphology:
Again a puzzling insect. The sexual organs of the [male] are remarkably different from those of Manduca pellenia, but there is scarcely anything in the colour or pattern by which the two insects could constantly be separated. Uncus and gnathos both more slender than in Manduca pellenia.Harpe with dentate lobe sickle-shaped, broad, apex downcurved, twisted, slender; ventral process horizontal, curved, pointed, not dentate or notched.Aedeagus similar to that of Manduca hannibal, the tooth neither apical nor horizontal, but pointing somewhat proximad. Abdomen with 8th tergite truncate, with the angles rounded and more sclerotised.Ante-ostial plate triangular, similar to that in Manduca occulta, but smaller, mesially subcarinate.
