Diagnostic description:
Similar to species of Sphingonaepiopsis but differs in the antennae apically obtuse, lacking a hook, end segment being broader then long. Legs similar to Sphingonaepiopsis but hindtibiae with one pair of spurs, the longer inner one equal in length to the second tarsomere. Abdomen upperside with distinct lines and grey dots. Forewing outer margin not angled at M1. Forewing upperside similar to Sphingonaepiopsis kuldjaensis but with more conspicuous longitudinal narrow stripes. Hindwing upperside yellow, marginal band brown, of even width.
