Nephele vau
Diagnostic description:
Tegula with a thin grey fringe. Abdomen upperside with narrow black lateral patches. Hindbasitarsal comb less developed than in other African species of Nephele. Underside of thorax and abdomen pinkish. Forewing upperside with a large dark olive-green to reddish-brown subtriangular spot with its apex on the inner margin just before the tornus and its base from the middle of the costa to the apex; silvery mark V-shaped and generally somewhat yellowish. Hindwing upperside olive with an orange-brown marginal band. Forewing length: 25-31 mm.
