Pachygonidia drucei (Taxonomy)
General description:
Transferred to Pachygonidia by d'Abrera, [1987], Sphingidae Mundi: 106.
Morphology:
Forewing as in Pachygonidia hopfferi but apex pointed (not truncate between Rs3 and Rs4, i.e. not dentate at the end of Rs4); very shallowly concave between apex and M3, not angled at M2, Hindtarsus with a ventral crest only on the basitarsus and a dorsal crest on tarsomeres 1-3. Forewing upperside with a rather larger discal spot, the clayish patch below apex much more distinct, and the whitish tornal scaling more obvious. Hindwing upperside with three median transverse pink bands (as in Pachygonidia hopfferi). Similar to Pachygonidia hopfferi but:Uncus more compressed apically, less gradually rounded in lateral view.Gnathos much narrower in apical half.
