Morphology:
Forewing outer margin straight, unlike in Paonias excaecata and Paonias myops. Both wings upperside yellowish orange to brownish orange.Forewing upperside pink basally with reduced marking compared with Paonias excaecata and Paonias myops. Valva less rounded than in Paonias excaecata and Paonias myops. Harpe broader at apex and more rounded than in Paonias excaecata and Paonias myops. Juxta as in Paonias myops. Aedeagus with only one tooth. Ostium bursae large; anterior margin produced into a ridge, which is weakly excavated (not cleft) resulting in to small lobes.
