Poliana micra

Records of Poliana micra in Eitschberger & Melichar (2017) (STI 21737) from eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, SW Tanzania, Malawi and eastern Zimbabwe are not mapped here. The identity of none of the specimens has been confirmed, either by genitalia dissection or DNA barcoding. Given the distance between these localities and the distribution of confirmed Poliana micra in southern Ethiopia, SW Somalia, Kenya and NE Tanzania, the differences in the biotopes involved, and the similarity in habitus between Poliana micra and various species of the genus Praedora, they are all likely to be misidentified Praedora. However, this needs to be confirmed.
