Poliodes roseicornis (Taxonomy)
Superficially similar to Temnora trapezoidea but immediately distinguishable by the small head, bright pink antennae and pale forewing apex. Uppersides of antennae bright pink. Forewing upperside pale grey, with narrow crenulated antemedian, postmedian and submarginal lines and a dark rounded-triangular patch on the costa distal to the end of the discal cell. 20-22 mm. 28-30 mm. Uncus subtriangular, broadly rounded apically.Gnathos with a triangular median lobe. Valve lacking stridulatory scales; subdorsal patch of bristles present on inner surface, bristles directed proximad and dorsad. Harpe similar to Leucophlebia afra, extending almost to end of valve with a ventral projection before apex in the form of a rounded lobe. Aedeagus with a short, laterally projecting conical tooth. Tergite 8 well-sclerotized, with slight posterior emargination.Sterigma broad, posterior margin sinuous.Ostium bursae wide.Ductus bursae short and wide.Bursa copulatrix large, spherical.
