Psilogramma lukhtanovi Eitschberger, 2001 [Invalid]

Synonymized with Psilogramma increta by Kitching and Rougerie et al., 2018, Biodivers. Data J. 6: e22236. Psilogramma lukhtanovi was distinguished from Psilogramma japonica [= Psilogramma increta] by the clearly whiter medial band on the forewing upperside and slight differences in the shapes of the saccus and bursa copulatrix. All of these features are highly variable individually within Psilogramma species and not indicative of species status. Furthermore, DNA barcode data place the holotype of Psilogramma lukhtanovi deep within a cluster formed of numerous samples of Psilogramma increta from localities ranging from Japan to Nepal, Assam, Thailand and Vietnam (BIN AAA2716). Consequently, there is no justification for maintaining Psilogramma lukhtanovi as a species.
