Rhadinopasa
Diagnostic description:
An unmistakable species; similar in general pattern to species of Clanis but distinguished by the truncate forewing apex, just basal to which the wing surface is wrinkled (as in Xanthopan morganii morganii). Proboscis short and weak. Femora with a small tuft of black hairs near the apex. Tibiae lacking spines. Abdominal tergite 8 lacking stridulatory scales.
Male genitalia: Uncus broad, curved, flat, narrowing suddenly to a hook. Gnathos a low, trapezoidal, sinuate ridge. Valve elongate, narrowing apically, stridulatory scales absent. Transtilla process with setiferous tubercles (as in Clanis). Harpe a curved, longitudinal ridge with many small teeth (similar to Clanis undulosa). Phallus without armature.
