Hyles churkini
Distribution:
A number of further specimens have been reported from Mongolia as "Hyles churkini" but they are poor matches for the holotype and paratype. It is likely that they represent other Hyles taxa, most probably Hyles euphorbiae euphorbiae or perhaps hybrids between this and other Hyles species (as is likely also for Hyles churkini itself). The specimen in the NHMUK is closer in habitus to the types but its identification remains to be confirmed.
