Sphingonaepiopsis obscurus
Diagnostic description:
Deeper brown than Sphingonaepiopsis nana. Forewing upperside without a pale line on the cross veins within a triangular patch, unlike Sphingonaepiopsis nana. Antennae pectinate, the branches long and slender, scaled dorsally, the inner ones shorter than the outer.
Male genitalia: Uncus sharply pointed. Gnathos long and narrow, similar to that of Sphingonaepiopsis gorgoniades. Valve narrowing towards apex. Harpe slender, horizontal, ending in a spatulate process. Phallus with a dentate apical process pointing obliquely distad.
