Diagnostic description:
The largest species of the genus. Forewing outer margin sinuate but entire. Upperside of head thorax and abdomen grey; head with a median dark brown longitudinal crest, which is continued as a median longitudinal line along the thorax and onto the anterior abdominal segments. Hindtibia inner spur more than twice the length of the outer spur and half the length of the hindbasitarsus. Forewing upperside grey, with faint large median costal patch and a smaller one half way to apex on costa and third on inner margin proximally of tornus, with a series of vein-dots. Hindwing upperside blackish olive brown Forewing length: 29-34 mm.
Male genitalia: Harpe slender, sharply upcurved apically. Phallus with curved and dentate apical process.
