Theretra latreillii
Resembling a small Theretra boisduvalii but forewings conspicuously less elongate. Very similar to Theretra tryoni but immediately distinguishable by the almost evenly black forewing fringe and the lack of a pair of black basal patches on the abdomen upperside. Labial palp first segment apex with scaling on the inner side less regular than in Theretra tryoni; the apical cavity partly concealed by the irregular scaling, unlike Theretra tryoni. Upperside of abdomen lacking dorsal lines. Forebasitarsus with outer row of spines double, at least at base. Forewing upperside with fringe not distinctly spotted.
Male genitalia: Uncus much longer and slimmer than in Theretra tryoni. Gnathos apically rounded-truncate.Valve as in Theretra tryoni. Harpe prolonged into a free, straight, obtuse, somewhat tapering process. Phallus apically acute; latero-apical dentate patch broader and shorter than in Theretra tryoni, its teeth mainly 3-pointed, a few 4-pointed.
