Theretra lycetus
Abdomen upperside with the pale longitudinal double lines becoming indistinct posteriorly. Outer row of forebasitarsal spines trebled by additional spines. Forewing upperside similar to Theretra japonica but contrast between darker postmedial lines and intervening pale bands stronger. Hindwing upperside with reddish medial band of variable width.
Male genitalia: Uncus stout, quite strongly curved apically, apex sinuate. Gnathos pointed, broadly triangular, sides obliquely rounded. Harpe horizontal, slightly dilated apically. Phallus characteristic, right process enlarged, with two ridges of teeth, left reduced to a long pointed process with only traces of teeth.
Female genitalia: Sterigma asymmetrical; ridge anterior and lateral to ostium bursae gradually decreasing on the left side, with another ridge on the left that extends into the ostium bursae.
