Theretra orpheus subsp. intensa
Diagnostic description:
Darker and broader winged than Theretra orpheus orpheus and Theretra orpheus pelius. Upperside of abdomen and forewing with less distinct lines than in Theretra orpheus orpheus. Forewing upperside with pale band between fourth and fifth postmedial lines conspicuous posteriorly, where it is creamy; costal margin not pale beyond apex of discal cell. Forewing underside cinnamon-rufous; transverse lines thinner than in Theretra orpheus orpheus and Theretra orpheus pelius. Hindwing underside cinnamon-rufous.
